The hotel is delightfully far from Pereira, which is great if your goal is to do absolutely nothing. The rooms are wonderfully basic, and the planes flying overhead provide a charming, unplanned soundtrack. The restaurant could have been the highlight, but the big guy on staff clearly did not get the memo on hospitality. Instead, intimidation seemed to be on the menu. His attitude turned what should have been a simple, pleasant meal into an experience you will not forget, though not in a good way. Would not recommend Tributo or the hospitality that comes with it.

This hotel is overrated and primarily targeted at foreign tourists who may not know any better. In terms of location, it lies directly under the flight path of planes coming into the nearby airport, just 6 km away and 330m from a very busy highway. The hotel is cramped, with a parking lot, 20 stuffy rooms, a pool, jacuzzi, restaurant, and other amenities all squeezed into a 3,000 m² lot, leaving little privacy outside of your room. If you're planning to step off the grounds, forget it. The narrow, dusty dirt roads in the area offer no alternative options. The restaurant is average at best, and quite overpriced. There are definitely much better choices if you're looking for a small, elegant hotel.

Beautiful? Yes. Luxurious? Absolutely not.

Let me save you the trouble: if you’re expecting a true high-end experience at the Hotel, lower your expectations. This place is all style, no substance.

Yes, the hotel is visually stunning. The architecture, the rooms, the proximity to the airport — all of that is great. But none of it matters when you’re left 15 hours without water and the hotel’s only response is a shrug and a “not our fault.” Excuse me? That’s not just poor service, it’s blatant irresponsibility.

And it wasn’t just a one-off issue. The food? Oversalted. Repeatedly. The communication? Through WhatsApp groups (yes, seriously), where messages are either ignored or answered with passive-aggressive tone depending on who’s on duty.

Oh, and the relaxing pool area? Ruined by the sound of traffic flying by on the nearby highway. So much for peace and quiet.

To be fair, they did offer us a complimentary massage after the water fiasco—which, given that their massages cost nearly a million pesos for two, was a decent gesture. But it felt more like damage control than genuine hospitality.

Bottom line: the hotel pretends to be a luxury retreat, but behaves like an amateur operation. If you’re into pretty places that fall apart under pressure, go for it. If you’re looking for service, professionalism, and basic accountability—look elsewhere.

Sazagua is a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the meals at the restaurant, especially breakfast as we got to drink coffee and watch the local birds on a nearby tree. We also thought our couples spa experience was relaxing.

Everything about our stay here was perfect. Had an incredible spa treatment, had the best meals at the restaurant that we have had in a LONG time (try the BBQ ribs), had the best sleep (how are those pillows real?!), and had impeccable attentive service by the staff.
Even had some fun watching some of the football games with the staff. We really appreciated our packed breakfasts when we had to arrange a 4am taxi to the airport. We felt so well looked after. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Thank you so much.

Went to Pereira for a wedding and ended up staying here with cousins. The rooms are amazing, comfortable, spacious. Amenities are lovely- beautiful pool area and a spa that was perfectly relaxing. If I had time I would have booked an additional treatment! What really made this an experience to remember was the staff- from helping organize transportation for all our events to catering to our large and sometimes rowdy group, they really went above and beyond! Honestly, the other half of our family was at a different hotel and we enjoyed Sazagua so much that when they wanted to get together we made them come to us, and the staff was always accommodating. Great experience, if you go to Pereira you will be missing out if you do not stay at Sazagua!

We stayed 3 nights in this beautiful hotel with great service, lovely people and delicious food. For breakfast, try their Migas or Calentado; both typical dishes of the region (they are awsome).

Overall experience was great! We did the Coffee Tour and our guide Freddy crushed it! The local coffee farm we went to was amazing and we learned about everything about how coffee is cultivated. Also the Coffee Massage was 100% worth it as well. My only gripe would be that the restaurant food at the hotel wasn’t my favorite, and the overall room had a few bugs and geckos moving around.

Great staff and service
A little-known place for most people, with an incredible menu... I think everyone should give themselves the opportunity at least once to try the restaurant that is open to the public, the prices are very good for the good and quantity of food served.

Sazagua offers peace in sometimes hectic Colombia. Very friendly and extremely hospitable staff, lovely rooms, breakfast and beautiful surroundings. No effort is too much, we wanted to go to a match of the local Deportivo, it was all arranged in no time. A wonderful and fantastic place.

Great hotel! Everything was clean and the employees were so nice. Our Spanish was not great but everyone was very patient with us and they have people who can speak English if you really need. Food was great, atmosphere was amazing. Would definitely come back!

Never in my life have I ever seen a hotel so dedicated and amazing, so full of quality and happiness, in the middle of the most beautiful part of Colombia. It doesn’t matter if you have the option of staying at some fancy nice hotel, this place was so amazing I felt at home. The owner personally ensure you are having a great time and that is why I think this is my favorite hotel. Staying here is a MUST!

The hotel is great. I recommend it. I would HIGHLY recommend the experiences. The service and staff are top notch. The WhatsApp group they set up is super easy to communicate with the team if you need anything. The food was delicious. We loved the BBQ dinner and the cooking class. It was so much fun. Everyone was helpful and engaging with our family and our son. The only complaint- we heard our neighbors above us late at night and early in the morning, which disrupted our sleep at times. This was not the hotel’s fault but be aware- you can hear other visitors at times. Other than that- it is a beautiful and majestic place to be.

The hotel is lovely, and the room (villa) is quite beautiful and spacious. The spa staff were amazing, but the restaurant and front desk staff were rather unwelcoming. Additionally, the combination of a relaxing boutique spa and the presence of children doesn't always work well. We were next to a room with kids, which was far from relaxing.

This boutique hotel focuses on the guest experience with a high attention to detail and welcoming service. Everyone at the hotel goes out of their way to insure that every thing is right. They use What’s App to communicate with the desk . . . Need towels and drinks at the pool? Just send a message. The pool was very nice way to cool off and finish the day after hiking. There was a hot tub outside our room.
