Sustainability
Sazagua Hotel Boutique: A commitment to sustainability
We believe that sustainability is a fundamental pillar of our business. We are committed to protecting the environment, promoting sustainable development in the local community, and advocating for responsible tourism.
Our sustainability initiatives include:

Promotion of responsible tourism
We empower small coffee farmers to thrive through tourism, ensuring they can continue their traditional way of life without leaving their land. By sharing their culture and traditions with visitors, their families gain access to benefits such as improved education and enhanced farming practices on their land.
Environmental protection
We are committed to environmental protection in this natural reserve. We implement sustainable practices to preserve the valley’s biodiversity, safeguard its water resources, and conserve endemic flora and fauna, particularly the Quindío wax palms, Colombia’s national symbol. We promote responsible ecotourism and environmental education, ensuring that both residents and visitors participate in the conservation of this valuable ecosystem.

Nature reserve
In the Cocora Valley, our hotel is located in a 70-hectare nature reserve and is part of the network of private properties that function as nature reserves. This helps to protect the biodiversity of the region and promote ecotourism.
Commitment to the local community
We support local communities through various initiatives, such as purchasing local products and hiring local labor. We also participate in community development projects.
